Movie Review.....

Ok -- it's been a while and I have a lot to write about... so I am going to start with some of the movies I have seen lately and give my scholarly reviews...

First: Precious



Ummm -- so, while the acting was killer, the movie let me down. The book was uber graphic and made me want to puke several times. Without disgusting half of the world, there was no way this movie was going to ever compare to the book. I give the acting an A but the movie a C -- I wasn't feeling Preciuos the way I felt her in the book. Again, the book was better than the movie. Isn't that always the case?

Second: Up in the Air



Fantastic. Funny. Sadly true. And it's about time there was a movie about a guy getting his heart broken. Bravo.

Third: The Blind Side



Typical based on a true story type movie. Good, but predictable. Love me some Sandra though (but hated the blonde on her -- ick!)

Fourth (and saving the best for last) : Hot Tub Time Machine



One word : HYSTERICAL.
I will never look at soap the same way again. Gross.

Paradise

Sometimes, I really have to stop and remind myself how blessed I am to live in such a wonderful place... I do have quit the list of grievances about living here (no such thing as a "fast' left lane, prices, crazy little old Korean lady drivers, on and on and on...)but I have to remember that I live in a place that people pay thousands of dollars to visit... and it IS beautiful here. I was reminded of this last night as i had a picnic dinner with my husband and kids at sunset... and let Riley run through the sand and into the water. Where else could I be living where my kids would have this kind of opportunity? Blessed.

New Moon Party

Now who would go watch a two hour movie, chock full of horrible acting, about werewolves and vampires with me? Well, my husband might, but that's not the point. A girl has got to have friends...
Thursday night at Dani's house.... New Moon party. Lots of food. Lots of diet Dr. Pepper (I know, I know, I am a maniac!!!)... and there were darn sure lots of Taylor Lautner scenes where he was shirtless and ab-tastic. Um yum. Good times, good friends. A girl couldn't ask for much else.

Easter Bunny

Took the kidders to see the Easter Bunny. The way Riley acted, you would've thought I was asking her to sit on the lap of a big, scary monster.... so mommy had to get in the picture, too. But it's all good because as everyone already knows, I am just a kid anyways, who happens to be 5'6 with two kids of her own... whatevs. Here's my babies with the bunny.
